Keep tall plants toward the back of borders with shorter plants at the front. Perennial tulips are special because, unlike many hybrids, they come back reliably year after year. When growing your tulips in containers, avoid placing the container in direct sunshine. Breck's full time staff of bulb experts spends the entire year in Holland devoting themselves to obtaining cream of the crop bulbs for shipment to customers in America. Warm colors, such as the reds and yellows of tulips and narcissus, seem to pop toward the front of a landscape, while cool colors, like the hues of purple violets or blue iris, recede into the background.
